It's Beer Thirty
Re: It's Beer Thirty
Taking a little time out to enjoy the fruits of my labor. It’s a nice American pale ale, slightly hoppy and about 6.2 % alcohol.
It’s cooling down here in Michigan, in another few weeks it’ll be too cool to sit outside comfortably. I’ll enjoy it while I can.

Friend of mine knows that Yuengling Lager is my favorite. I hadn't had any in several years until this week. He stopped by and gifted two cans to me. They're both gone now but the memory lingers yet. Had to dig this fallen soldier out of the trash for a picture.

Sweet, David!
The sun finally came out this afternoon, seemed like a good day for a brew. I also used the foil cutter, wonder if A.B. would mind?

Celebrating a successful trip home after a successful weekend at the farm.
Met 2 horses my bro is boarding for a friend, fed and watered the cows and chickens, collected eggs, walked and fixed the fence in several places, saw 2 box turtles.

It's 5:00 somewhere! Got in a lot of work around the farm today, a little bit of everything including fence fixing.
Spied a buck and doe crossing the power line this morning. Would be a manageable 150 yds with the right scope.

+1 for Negra Modelo. One of my favorites. First had one in 1986 while working in Mexico. Wasn’t available in the U.S. at the time but they started importing it several years later. Got part of a six pack in the fridge now in fact.

Re: It's Beer Thirty
Generally have some Modelo Negra and Victoria in my fridge, also like Dos Equis amber. You could say that I favor dark beer. I use to be able to fine Guinness black lager but it seems to have dried up around here.
Re: It's Beer Thirty
I NEVER drink before 12:00 but it's always 12:00 somewhere. I average 2 beers a week and always after 12:00 somewhere.

Come on over, big homer, plenty here.
Fired the Fisher stove.
Made coffee.
Cows fed.
Chickens fed.
Eggs gathered.
Got feed ready for tomorrow.
Trip to FedEx drop-off box.
Grabbed lunch.
Opened ditches for tomorrow's gully washer.
Winterized hoses for Sunday's 24° temp.
Checked and filled watering troughs.
It's beer-thirty.
Enjoying a Guinness with my ol' bud Rocky.

I haven't had an Icehouse in probably 15 years, used to get it in the 12 oz. brown plastic bottles.

I can get Guiness but not their black lager, evidently it was a short run several different times and is no longer made.
Kind of Bud did with the copper lager they made for a while then quit.
I had one of these at our Thanksgiving get together, pretty tasty.

Thanks, gents!
I used to get notices when someone quoted my posts with a reply, guess that's not working anymore?
*edit- I think I fixed that, not sure when/how it got changed?

Re: It's Beer Thirty
I had the pleasure of drinking a couple of these last night. They are made in Chattanooga by a small brewery that a good friend works at. Very good, probably just as good as the Guinness black lager that I was discussing in a earlier post.
Just wish I could get it around here.

I forgot to post my Pensacola brews. The Odd Colony sampler was pretty awesome - a sour and 3 bourbon barrel brews. The last pic is a Pensacola Bay Brewery Amber I had at the airport before flying out.
