It's Beer Thirty

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

May I ask, what is Lent?

Willy, do you know any Catholics? I'm actually Episcopalian (Catholic Light), like George Washington was. 😉👍

Umm no John, sad to say I don't.
Oh, ok. And I didn't know that about Mr.Washington, thank you for the tidbit of education sir.

I'm non-denominational, follower/disciple of Jesus. Not part of any group per-say, but part of the body in spirit and the word.
So you could say, every time I pickup His word, and talk to Him, I do "lent".

I'm completely in the dark when it comes to your church, and your holidays.
Please fill me in if you could sir, I'm all ears.

Well, Willy, I don't think I feel comfortable laying all of this out on a beer thread, but we could post on the Daily Scripture thread if you like?

Back in the mid-'70s I bought some Fox Deluxe beer because it was $1.00 for the six pack. It wasn't worth a dollar. Took me at least 6 months and several friends, to get rid of it.

"Hey! You want a beer?"
"Sure"
"Here ya go."
"Gag. Where did you get this stuff?"
"You don't like it?"
"I gotta go. See ya around."

Worst beer ever. Worse even than 33 Beer in Viet Nam.

What's the worst beer that's passed your lips??

I don't like any IPAs, Jerry. If beer tastes like (*edit) skunky grapefruit juice I'm not interested. ::huff::

Bacon flavored???  I might have liked that 'cause I loves me some bacon. Yum, yum.

Could this be it??

"The Georgia-based Oconee Brewing Company announced this week the upcoming release of a collaboration with Waffle House, the Bacon & Kegs red ale. At 6.5 percent ABV and dark red in color, the beer also has the unmistakable scent of bacon, standing out from the typical medium hop aroma of a red ale." Nov 19, 2020

Tiger lager better known as (Tiger piss) was much much worse than ba muoi ba or 33 export if you will. And that was the consensus of everyone that I ever knew that has drank both, not just mho.

We mostly had American beer with the occasional San Miguel.

We went to Spain in -64 on Operation Steel Pike and rumor had it that we had an entire ships hold full of National Bohemian. Not to be drunk on board ship.
Whether the rumor was true or not we'll never know but I can tell you that all we had to drink while on the beach was National Boh. We were there for two weeks (give or take).
