The reason I posted it was for the message in the song.fergusontd wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 2:27 pm A wise man once said "If you don't use crude language you won't be heard"! ftd

Really liked the song and as far as the language goes, didn't bother me at all. 42 years in a factory and you're gonna hear a lot, and say slot. Thanks for posting it Jerry!

Re: Am I The Only One?
The message was spot on, but I don't think the foul language was necessary to get a point across.
Take care and God bless,
Steve

I'm not a fan of Bruce Springsteen either, guess I'm not the only one after all.

Springsteen is a no talent hack. I don't understand how people like him become so rich and famous when there are obviously more talented singers that never make it.1967redrider wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 9:28 pm I'm not a fan of Bruce Springsteen either, guess I'm not the only one after all.

Right place at the right time. I'm not a fan of his but he's done pretty well for himself.
Re: Am I The Only One?
Every time I hear Springsteen, (or as my autocorrect says, “spring stain,”) singing “Born in the USA” I want to smash whatever I'm hearing the song on.1967redrider wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 9:28 pm I'm not a fan of Bruce Springsteen either, guess I'm not the only one after all.
I did kind of like the song at one time but he has ruined the song for me, as well as the rest of his music, with his political opinions. He is entitled to his opinions, and I am still entitled to mine... as long as I don't express them too loudly where some "woke" person might be offended.

I can relate, Dale.

Re: Am I The Only One?
Dale, like your post, but when i saw the word " woke " i shuddered. There was a 2 page article over here a few months ago about the woke generation/movement and it was frightening. The article was not written by anyone with a hidden agenda, but by a sensible conservative journalist who was of the woke generations age. He spent 2 years researching the organization before putting pen to paper. I will keep this brief, it was frightening reading and a wake up call to me. I like many, just dismissed them as left wing theorists who were all for everyone's rights as long as they were their thinking rights, especially for minority groups, like university/college students sitting around discussing all things theory. How wrong i was, the movement, and that is what they call themselves is run as a corporation/business, and big business, there is a whole management structure from CEO's, middle management all the way down, as any successful business is run. It is run by lawyers, media experts and advertising and social media experts. They get a lot of their funding from the movie industry through donations from extremely wealthy people, the Bruce Springsteen types, think the Hollywood mouth pieces during Trump's presidency, Robert DeNiro springs to mind, and big business's that want to appear woke to catch their next customer base. Their beliefs are far left socialist, some communism, their aim, and they are winning is to destroy Western lifestyle/Culture, they don't want to bring down Western Democracy because they can use it with all it's freedoms to further their cause. Was a really scary article, but have no doubts Dale this organization is a very real threat to our lifestyle and the way we live.orvet wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 8:50 pmEvery time I hear Springsteen, (or as my autocorrect says, “spring stain,”) singing “Born in the USA” I want to smash whatever I'm hearing the song on.1967redrider wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 9:28 pm I'm not a fan of Bruce Springsteen either, guess I'm not the only one after all.
