Woodburning Art
Woodburning Art
Thought I would move my woodburning posts to the more appropriate General Topic section.
Not sure if anyone is really interested but here are my latest woodburnings. Had some rounds with splits that I wasn't going to use so I made holders for my burner tips. This is my new sign, people passing by stop and come in to ask questions or maybe buy something.

Re: Woodburning Art
That must take a lot of patience and concentration. Those are really good.
Nicely done David.

This is a picture of my youngest son and his youngest walking up to the Texas state capital building. Matt is there to receive
the Star of Texas Award from Gov. Abbott. The Award honors peace officers, firefighters, and emergency medical first responders who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty. Thankfully our son was injured and not killed. I am attempting to do a woodburning picture using this photo.

I believe this one will be my most difficult challenge. It's a composite I put together from two different pictures.
The sailor is 12" tall and the plank of wood I'm using is 16" H X 10" W.

I have already showed you the USS Constellation but I have a better picture and another ship to go with her.
The USS Constellation CV-64 representing the warships of the past. The USS Enterprise NCC-1701 representing the warships of the future. I doubt we have a Star Trek future but it's fun to imagine.
