this pinch hitter job so conflipulatory.
IF winner makes 1-4 choice then the ?
box matters not even 1 ioda.
IF winner selects #5 I would presume they
would like the option to reveal or not reveal.
Just a hunch I could be wrong ::nod::

It's your reward for being so generous.

Are you telling me I'm the only one who's curious what's in that box?

It's all your fault. You're the one who started it by piquing my interest. ::huff::

God I hope he knows I'm just pulling his chain. ::facepalm:: ::pray::

Ooooh...thaaat box!? ::hmm:: I think that's one of them mystery boxes ol' Jimmy Frost has on his Paki-ina knife show from time to time. Surely not, a rubber chicken makes a better knife then one of those!

That's exactly what was going through my mind while typing that. ::nod::

I'm not sure I want to win, now. The pressure would be too great. If I was to win, I'd be so tempted to take the mystery box but I'd be so scared I'd end up with another rubber chicken. ::uc::

I'll take my old highschool basketball number 34 if it's not taken What happened to the old system where all the numbers were listed and they were marked taken each time one was selected?

Great question, thanks for sending it in.
If by Old System you mean the automated digitized real time
click the mouse to select from remaining numbers method
it is in the Shop for routine maintenance and unavailable
for the June 2012 Gibaway.
Therefore we are reduced by these circumstances to the even
Older System where an entrant must manually type in 3 digits
in a post and the contest modulator must create a manual chosen
numbers list (if they feel like it)
Otherwise each entrant can scroll thru all the entries to see if their
desired # has been taken or whether they must choose an alternate.

Even though an antiquated system which requires each participant
to put in a tinsy amount of extra effort it has been sufficient to
complete the assigned task more times than knot.

Just think of it as if your usual assigned Panther jet is in the shop
and you have to fly a Bearcat prop job for one mission.
Relax, you might enjoy it....if no MIGs show up.

Oh, BTW... the number chosen list is just South of the Opening Post.
Apologies for any inconvenience, implied or perceived this may
or may not have caused.

I never flew a Panther in anger, only in advanced training at Corpus Christi. And the Bearcat was WAY before my time. I have flown a few prop planes, T-34, T-28, SNJ and AD-1. Your analogy is nice however. I found your list and see that you added a zero in front of my old HS number. Thanks and those are good looking knives! They would make a nice Birthday gift for me. I was born 24 June 1933.
