BIG TRAPPER FOR SALE E BAY

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

BIG TRAPPER FOR SALE E BAY

Post by Nick »

I have a Case Classic Big Trapper 6223 on EBay for sale if anyone is interested. I originally got it on AAPK a while ago from a well respected member and I have had John Adams from Case Classic Club authenticate it with COA. It is stamped PROTO. Included is Parker letter also. I am flexible on the price. At a minimum it is low run of six, but with the PROTO stamp it could be one of one, see Johns Certificate in the picture section. Thanks heres the link:

I am amazed- still for sale !! This time it on auction format. Sometimes I wonder ??? It is the knives that you think "This is so rare, a prototype, there will be no problem selling" and they are the last ones that sell. (And I have several hundred dollars in this knife, thinking this one will never loose value) Just like James "BUZZ" Parker saying on page 291; in The Pocket Knife Traders Price Guide vol 9, 2010 and I quote " As far as a value goes on Case Classic Prototypes, you definitely have something that the next guy or gal doesn't have. In other words you can pretty much name your price on these knives"........."Of course, putting a price on a knife and then getting it are two very different things" ....How True !! At least I can laugh at myself, I would go nuts if I could not.
