16 rounds of 10MM and several more 15 round magazines is quite a bit of firepower.

yes....yes it is.

Jerry, I'm not sure I could handle a knife that has directions on it that show you how to open it. Looks pretty hi-tech to me. ___Dave

Dave, it's not a very handy knife. There are all kinds of edges and angles in the hand, plus opening and closing it is not handy at all. It's not something I would carry.

I see one bad thing about posting from an Android phone...
No way to edit the pics after you take them; just snap & post. ::td::

The phone is so small I can't tell if the pic is in focus or not. ::disgust::

Ahah! It's a Blur. How do you and the Tanto blades get along?

I like them if they are ground properly and can get really sharp, like this one.
The point on it is really fine for fine detail cutting and the elbow in the cutting edge works well for precision cutting that requires a bit more force.
I didn't think I would like them and steered clear of them for years but once I tried a good one I was hooked.
I still like my traditional knives, but I almost always have one "tactical" knife on me in additional to traditional patterns.

There are a couple improvements I would suggest to Kershaw on the Blur:
1- Make it a true flipper and not an A/O.
2- A chisel grind on the blade would make it even sharper!

BTW, does anyone here have any observations about the BDZ-1 steel? This is the first time I have used this steel.
It is hard to judge it from a couple days use, but so far I am impressed.

When Al was alive (he died in 1992), his knives had the best fit and finish of any production knife of that time, better than the F & F of most custom knives of that era.

Al had a degree in design from a college in CA. He put that knowledge into the design of his knives and other products reflects, which those products show. Al also had a line of tactical gear he designed that reflected his penchant for designing items with real world practicality and style. I sure wish I had picked up one of his Tac Jackets when they were available! ::dang::
