Info on Hardin Knives

Post by Rob44 »

Found a knife in my wife's grandfathers's collection that has Hardin over Germany on the stamp. Did an ebay search and found one with the same shield and stamp. The description says Hardin Knife company 1980's. There is a winged crown also stamped on the blade. Anyone know much about these?

Made for Geo. Smith (Hardin Wholesale - Kenova,W.Va.) by Fredr. Olbertz Factory Ger. in the '80's . Similar quality as Fight'n Rooster and Bulldog knives . Value in the $45-$50 range .

Nice looking!

When I found it in his collection I thought the blades had the Carl Schliper long pull style and the handles screamed of Fight'n Rooster. Thanks for the info. I'll tell my wife's Papaw he has a good one. ::nod::

Hi Rob, thanks for asking for info for the Hardin knife. I own one with stag handles. Nice built knife. I needed that info also.
