Wostenholm/Schrade

I have come across a few Schrade/Wostenholm knives both on the forums and EBay. What is the deal with these? They are all made in Sheffield it seems. Was there a merger? Or were they made under contract as SFO for Schrade? Thanks Oscar

Schrade acquired the Wolstenholm name in 1979. These two threads shed some light on the issue:
