Joseph Fenton & Sons Sheffield

Post by Sheffieldguy »

Just picked up this pearl Joseph Fenton & Sons coffin lobster direct from Sheffield. Appears to be unused, and was likely made in the 1920s or 30s. Closed length is 3 1/8”. Any other Fentons out there??

What a beautifully crafted knife!
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

That's a stunner of a knife in a great unique lobster pattern ::tu:: ::tu:: ...

Since you were asking :) - Here's a Thomas Fenton Boys knife and box - not Joseph but he was one of the sons who made knives in 1880s -

Thanks for the comment Lee! Wow, that Thomas Fenton looks in great condition for it’s age! And to have the box too is extra special! Are the scales horn?
