Now we're talkin'! I guess I just like really old Ivory knives and big whittlers. You certainly got some fine cutlery today. I ended up with two, will probably show 'em tomorrow. Yeah, Ed (eveled) came to the last show which was his first NCCA show. He instantly got a life membership and he and his son are enjoying the heck out of our shows. Great to have an enthusiastic new member!!

Thank you, Froe, a pretty unique etch on the spear.
I am not familiar with musical embellishments but I am pleased that this etch is on this blade.

Thank you, Gene, would love to see your two knives.
Always a pleasure to see you and your knives.
I'm glad Ed and his son are involved.

Really cool! As a musician, I'm particularly jealous! Haigh doesn't show up in either Goins or Levine; nor do I see anything in a quick internet search. So now I'm intrigued, and will have to keep an eye out for this mark. Nice find!

Thank you Brent.
I didn't find anything either. I have a book of London cutlers. No Haigh in there.
Checked my Tweedale Directory of Sheffield Cutlers and I did find one Haigh entered in there.
At least I know the name exists, just not in Liverpool so far.
I hope you find one with the clef.

Very nice Joe!
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

I suspect that Haigh was the retailer rather than the maker. I would bet that it’s a Sheffield made knife ordered by Haigh and had the retailer stamped . I have come across a number of retailers that had their names stamped on the knives, sometimes they were gift knives

That could be true, Gerry. ::tu::
It certainly does occur here in the U.S.A.
