Mikov Utility knife
I picked this one up at the local flea market for $2.50. Looks to be in good shape and not used much. The tang stamp marking on the mark side is Mikov Inox, and on the pile side of the master Czecho slovakia. It is 3 and 1/2 inches OAL, with metal handles that attract to a magnet. Kind of a neat piece, would compare to a Swiss Army knife, but made by the Czechs. So if it is marked Czechoslavakia it would be pre 1991 before the separation of the Czech Republic and Slovakia?

Yes as to pre 1991. I have had a few Czech knives. They are well made, similar to German made knives.

I have an old 1980s vintage Mikov too, advertising a 1980s vintage Skoda car.
Interestingly, these cars were sold in western Europe too. I don't know if these knives were exported outside the Eastern bloc. The seller I bought this from was in Bulgaria, IIRC.Re: Mikov Utility knife

I love the look of that Mikov!
I recently got a used Sharp brand SAK-type knife that was made in Czechoslovakia. I believe it was made by Mikov as well. It is nowhere near as nice as your knife though!

Re: Mikov Utility knife
This pocket knife recently arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. This particular pocket knife was NOT the target of my purchase. However, it did end up being added to my general pocket knife collection. It is a MIKOV, two blades, four tools (a cap lifter or bottle opener, a can opener, a punch or awl and a corkscrew), two tang stamps, 3 5/8" closed, all metal, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "MIKOV (inside a rectangle) (over) ANTICORRO" The main blade back tang stamp says, "CZECHO (over) SLOVAKIA" The main blade has a soft half stop, but a nasty opening and closing snap. The secondary blade also has a soft half stop, with a soft opening and closing snap. The four tools open, close and function properly. This pocket knife came with a vinyl slip cover marked MIKOV. This pocket knife is VERY well made and it is in EXCELLENT+ condition. No cleaning was needed, I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.
