Maki brand, 3 piece Laguiole

Post by Nephilim »

Picked up an old, but seemly unused 3 piece Laguiole by Maki. As for as I can figure, this was a small scale manufacturer in Thiers in the later 20th century. The original craftsman passed away in 1997 and the business came under new ownership, but I don't know to what degree the firm kept producing laguioles under the same brand name. The only information I found on this brand was from an old French language forum thread I google translated: https://couteauxdepoche.forumactif.com/ ... uiole-maki
