For Sale: T. A. Davison Pocket Knife
I bought this knife, #953, from Todd on Dec. 5, 2012. I have sliced paper and shaved arm hair to enjoy the feel of 'sharp', but no real use.
3 1/2" closed, blade is 1/16" ATS-34, hollow ground with Rc of 60-61, handles are carbon fiber, no liners. This makes for a very slender, but strong pocket knife. Weight: 26 grams (28 grams = 1 ounce).
Todd has made linerless knives of Micarta and carbon fiber. They are as strong as knives made with liners. He does not make them very often and when he posts one it gets snapped up even faster than his knives with liners. And the carbon fiber ones are the most sought after.
All snaps are crisp, with half stop and zero play. Blade is very sharp as with every knife Todd has made.
I think this might well be the most slender and lightest weight of any 'real' folding knife. By "real" i mean it is a fully capable folding knife just the same as if made in the traditional manner.
Price: $325, shipped.
I believe Todd's current price for a similar knife would be about $500-$550
If interested please send me a PM or email: rprocter@telus.net
As with all knives i sell, returnable for refund.

great knife Roland and it's a steal at that price! I own exactly one of Todd's knives, a sheepsfoot with Amboyna wood scales. Probably 10 yrs old. absolutely top notch!

Thanks C A. It is a good deal, but it still is expensive: $12.50 per gram. But cheaper than gold which is $52.60 a gram.
I just emailed Todd to confirm $500-$550 as price for a similar knife made now. If i'm wrong i will correct the listing.

Todd said he would now use G10,(easier to work with) and price would be $500. Carbon fiber is both lighter weight and stronger than G10.
If you really like this knife please send me an offer. It would be a great knife to carry, under stated elegance and fully capable.

Congrats to the new owner!
He is my favorite maker (my avatar is a TA barlow I own) - great maker and one heck of a deal.
