bb, i hope you deer hunt because you've got the perfect knife to field dress a deer, or elk. If you do get to use it please post back with a report on how it performed.

Ditto what Phil said. Have you got a sheath for it yet?

Nice knife. Excellent usable size. I have had a couple of their larger blades that were too hefty to be of good use.
Post pics of your sheath set up when available.

This is the first custom knife I ever bought around 1980 or 81.Made by William Zalesky from CT it is a drop point hollow ground hunter from 1/4 inch stock with a crocus polish and black Micarta handles. It must be drastically cut out inside the handles as it is very well balanced and light. It has a very nice hand made sheath to go with it. I had a choice between this one and a Randall of about the same size. This one was $65 and the Randall was $90. Don't regret choosing this for one minute. I also have a small boot dagger by Bill that I got from a friend of mine much later for $50.

Thanks for your comments.
I do not hunt, its going to be a EDC.

I like a sheath i can put on/off without loosen the belt so i changed the beltloop on this old sheath
you just have to open the two pushbottons.

Good sheath idea and good knife. What are those yaller things? Chayotes? Too bad Ken is not around anymore; he would like them.

Thats an apple, cut with the Barkie into two half.

Problem with the apples from my garden is they believe they are lemons and they taste only sour.

That fork must be used on an impressively sized piece of meat.

Found this one today at a local antique shop. Have to go back tomorrow as he has a couple old balisongs he got that he thought I might be interested in.
This one I thought was an ink eraser until I pulled it out of the sheath.A tiny(2 inch)double edged dagger marked,? A.Paterson Warranted Sheffield" in three lines.Pearl handle(cracked)has a silver ferrule and crown pommel(no hallmarks though).Goins or Levine have no info on maker. Anyone have info?

I like that Bark River Hunter bigbore, saw your post while having coffee this morning and went straight to the dealers sites to check that model out some more. Not that I need another hunting knife but sure do admire it, budget restraints was all that forced me to quit looking. :D
Those stag handled knives are quite impressive as well, the one with the big clip got me jones'n too. :)

BigBore you do have some fine fixed blade knives. Do you have opportunity to get into the bush and try any of these ? Which is your favourite to use ?

Very nice knives again bigbore. That big nesmuk (I think thats what that blade shape is called?), looks like it would be a sweet camp knife. ::tu::
