Garry I don't have any proof . The lady I bought it from was selling his collection with a # of Military Guns which I didn't know enough about . Someone used it and took care of it for it to be made in 1968 . Don't see them a lot .

Very very nice example Mr. Gary ::tu:: .

I wouldn't be surprised if it did see action. I guess that's half the fun of owning knives, the mystery surrounding they're history is half the enjoyment. The other half is owning knives  .

Nobody removes a stone pouch on a whim. That was done by someone wearing that knife a lot and becoming tired of getting caught on things.

To me it adds to the thought that it saw some use in combat.

Very nice knife.

Beautiful knives everyone! 👍👍 I think I posted this one before... next week my cousin is having a graduation party for his oldest boy and I'm going to gift this to him... He's a straight-A student, finished second in his class, has worked pretty much in all his spare time outside of sports andacademics since 8th grade..he's saved extra money to help with college and to pay for his own vehicles and car insurance.. he deserves this knife and much more...Plus I'm going to roast a whole boned out hind quarter from a whitetail for the graduation feast... He calls me "Uncle Ryan" and I'm proud of that...
