It is Ontario Survival Bowie (OKC Item #8681). A fine deal at $44.80.

I like it. ::tu::

My Marine Raider Bowie SP-10 has a .25" shorter blade (9.75") but is considerably heavier. The Survival Bowie has a 10" blade and is "quicker in the hand". This wlll be a great addition.

Captain O what do you plan to do with that knife ? I've never used a knife that big for anything other than the old corn knife (machete) that I used to chop down saplings for building a fort when I was a kid.

After this arrives, I will have a total of four (4) Bowie knives. They're useful for lots of things from food preparation (butchering) to home defense. These fill numerous roles. I'm not above using one to stop an aggressive "tweaker" (Methamphetamine addict). We have some that live within 20 feet of our front door. You can't be too prepared when they go off on a drug-fueled tirade.

This knife is a keeper! Fast in hand, sharp out of the box, .25" spine, 1075 Carbon Steel hardened to 57-59 HRC. A 10" blade, Not too big, but not too small either. The knife is an easy carry and was "born" in January of 2019. I'm really going to enjoy using this in the kitchen and on the trail. The price of $44.80 shipped to my door was the "cherry on top" of this "Bowie Sundae". ::ds:: :mrgreen: ::tu::

That is a nice one and a good price too. Similar but larger than my favorite, the Ontario Spec Plus Fighter. It has an 8" blade, and is marked SP6-94. Is the 94 the date it was made?

They're outstanding knives and well worth the price paid. I'm appreciating/enjoying both the SP-5 and the SP-10. At less than $55 for the SP-10 and less than $45 for the SP-5, they're money well spent. 8) ::tu::
