Any help would be greatly appreciated

Post by michaelspayth »

A recent purchase. So far, ive been unable to identify any maker or estimate the age of it. Very happy with the knife regardless of those things but would still be cool to know. Thanks in advance for any input!

It is a Utica/Kutmaster from the 1960s. Originally only had the trademark etched out on the blade. If you google Utica ot Kutmaster sportsman knife you should see plenty. They came with either black plastic or bone handles, yours is the bone version. Yours is severely worn with little collector value.

Thanks! Knew it wasn't much as far as collector value goes but yet, for some reason, a certain aspect of the knife appealed to me. The blade definitely looked familiar to me.. I have a couple of the plastic handle ones.
