Re: Unusual older knife
With the numbers stamped on it could be a Gutmann import made by any one of a number of German Manufacturers. Anton Wingen Jr (Othello Brand) made a similar looking knife.

Probably an Edge Brand;they used a 3 digit numbering system on their knives.Strange to see a handle on a throwing knife;must really screw up the balance on it.

They must throw fine because i have seen others with this same handle. Surely they would not have been made if they could not be thrown and fly right ?

Thanks guys for the info. This is a friends knife I passed the info alone. Harold
Re: Unusual older knife
I know it’s a throwing knife by the blade shape. Having a handle makes it look like it’s a gardening tool.
