A briefcase full of blades............

Post by knife7knut »

It's a bitter cold Sunday afternoon(evening now)and for most of the day I have been going through and re-photographing knives whose pictures were less than ideal. All these years and I'm still having problems taking pictures. ::dang::
Anyway this is the contents of one of several briefcases I use to store knives that don't fit well into my regular storage cabinets. No particular rhyme or reason for storing these together;they just sort of happened.Hope you enjoy them and have a great day!
#1 Bear MGC guthook hunter.
#2 Buck 119
#3 Buffalo Brand Germany hunter similar to a Puma 6393
#4 & #5 A couple of Cutco hunters
#6 Hammer Brand hunter.I think this one was made before Imperial took over.
#7 Hand made hunter with a one piece steel handle with Micarta slabs.Blade is pinned through the handle. The sheath is the one that came with it;part of a huge militaria collection.
#8 Russell thistle handle hunter made for Iver Johnson Sporting Goods in Boston. They also made firearms.
#9 J.A.Hellberg hunter.
#10 KA-BAR hunter

Some beautiful knives!

For knife photography I use a small portable photo light box that my daughter got me for Christmas two years ago. Mine is probably too small for hunting knives, but is perfect for pocket knives.

These are around $30 on Amazon, and have an LED light built-in.

Everything else is just a hobby.
