This weekend I found a nice older knife..3 1/2 inch two bladed Jack knife or could be a boys knife....this knife is stamped on both blades
Schrade Cut Co. Walden NY. (straight line)... peach-seed handles...this knife seems to be in very good condition for it age... 1917-1946
what make me think it's a boys knife is the the hole in the handle but no bail....I cleaned this knife but does anyone have tips to clean
the knife better without destroying the older look!!
Thanks for looking any information would be welcome

Can't offer any help on that knife but just to say that is a beautiful knife with two great blades.

Raincrow, that is a wonderful old knife. If it were mine that is all the cleaning it would get. Great job on cleaning. Congrats.

There is a Schrade forum, if you post this knife there you can probably get a lot of information.

What you have is a 2153, it definitely used to have a bail and chain. As far as cleaning goes I would not do anything more to it than cleaning active rust, dirt and grime. Less is more, polishing is not good. It looks good as is if you ask me.
Here’s a catalog image circa 1926.
