Re: Knife & Cutlery Ephemera
This afternoon I added this to my collection. Another original, antique, Victorian era trade card. It is for LION COFFEE and WOOLSON SPICE CO., TOLEDO, OHIO. It has a nice Christmas theme. On the back of this trade card is an offer for a FREE POCKET KNIFE. The card is dated 1894, with the offer ending January 1, 1895. The card measures 3 1/2" X 5 3/8." It is in GREAT condition for being over 120 years old. The front and back of the card is pictured. I do not know who manufactured the pocket knife in the offer.
Captions, if any, are on the BOTTOM of the corresponding picture(s).

Here are my other Victorian era trade cards, with FREE POCKET KNIFE offers:

Re: Knife & Cutlery Ephemera
Thank you Smitty.
I'd like to say that I'm collecting the set or series, but I don't know
how many of these trade cards make up a complete set or a complete series.
Or, if there is such a thing as a complete set or a complete series.
Anyway, I'll keep buying them when I get the opportunity.
Also, I would REALLY like to find an example of the advertised pocket knife!

This arrived today. A small 1947 (year per the seller) ad for CAMILLUS 72
pocket knives. The year doesn't really matter to me.

Re: Knife & Cutlery Ephemera
This item arrived this afternoon and joined my ephemera collection. It's a sealed deck of Western Knives playing cards. It is a full deck of 52 playing cards, including a Joker and a Western Knives card, for a total of 54 cards. These were printed by the Hoyle Company in Saint Paul, Minnesota when Western Knives were being made by CAMILLUS. I didn't want to break the seal and open my deck. The last two pictures are NOT mine, they belong to the seller.

Re: Knife & Cutlery Ephemera
These items are E. C. SIMMONS, KEEN KUTTER pencil toppers. They measure 1 3/4" long and the "buttons" are 7/8" in diameter. Three of the four still have Whitehead - Hoag Newark NJ maker information printed around the bottom edges of the "buttons." They are all in VERY GOOD condition. I took some pictures and here they are.

Re: Knife & Cutlery Ephemera
Found this VILLAGE BLACKSMITH business envelop at a gun show in Easton, MD Saturday. Great color, must've been in a drawer. I have one of their knives. Nice to "complete" the display. J.O'.
Re: Knife & Cutlery Ephemera
If anyone collect these and are interested pm me. I guess they were labels for the knife boxes. A neighbor gave them to me and they were stuck together. Thanks
They are spoken for,thanks.

These two boxes were included with a group of pocket knives that I bought. None of the pocket knives were Case. The larger box measures 5 3/8" long. The shorter box is 4 3/8" long. Both are in good condition. I took some pictures and here they are.
