Dan , Skip thanks fellas
These old Catalogs are interesting. I think about what it was like for our forefathers, there wasn’t any Fed ex or Speedee delivery . Had a lot more patience back then ,a hundred plus years ago .

Neat stuff there gnome!
Never knew Schrade had the Employee pins , very cool . Did they do more than the 5 and 10 year pins ?
Thanks for posting those ::tu::

Yesterday afternoon, these items got added to my CAMILLUS ephemera collection.
A 1972 catalog. It is complete and has 10 pages. The original envelope it was mailed in,
postmarked Sept. 21, 1972 and a general note to the buyer. The catalog is in Near Mint
condition. The envelope and note are in Excellent condition. The envelope discoloration
is exaggerated.

Very recently I obtained another CATTARAUGUS CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knife box/display.
The spring was used to hold the pocket knife that was on display, in place.
In this case it would've been a, according to the label, pattern #22459 pocket knife.
It's in good+ condition and it will display nicely.
It measures 2 3/4" X 4 5/8" X 2 1/2."

Here is another original, antique, Victorian era trade card. It is for LION COFFEE and WOOLSON SPICE CO., TOLEDO, OHIO. On the back of this trade card is an offer for a FREE POCKET KNIFE. The card is dated 1895, with the offer ending January 15, 1896. The card measures 3 3/8" X 5 3/8." It is in GREAT condition for being over 120 years old. The front and back of the card is pictured. I do not know who manufactured the pocket knife in the offer.

This afternoon, this ad joined my ephemera collection. Seller said it's from 1898. It measures 2 1/4" X 5 1/4" total.
It's in EXCELLENT condition.

I bought this because the price was right. It is a ring blade. Used for cutting twine,
as on newspaper bundles. Used on fabric in the textile industry, etc., etc., etc.
It breaks down to three pieces. The ring, the guard/guide and the blade.
Here are a couple of links to some different, previously posted ring blades, not mine, on page 16.

Cool find Skip. I've never seen one built like that. The only ones I've seen are like the Handy Twine finger blades. My sis-in-law worked in several textile mills many years ago and showed me a couple she had. She said she mainly used them when she was in shipping.
