I also have a few more but cant for the life of me find them? a fairly rare and very Tidy Clip Point Buffalo Bill Scout with the Buffalo Bill Shield and same etch on the blade- and New York's gorgeous Bone and Punch Re: The All Scout Knives Thread
Those are sure some great old scouts. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Re: The All Scout Knives Thread
Really nice show of scout/utility patterns Duncan! That Miller Brothers scout pattern is fairly scarce, and yours looks like a particularly nice one, too.
I've got one around here somewhere. Looked through this thread for it but evidently I didn't post it here. Will see if I can find it but it's a poor example compared to yours. Congratulations on some fine scouts!

That's a great group of scout/utilities, Duncan. I especially like your Robesons.

Thank you Roger, Phil, Ken and Charlie - your kind comments mean a lot.
Charlie- you may be able to help me, I see often the Robeson Punch on many knives, Camillus, even an beautiful New York HJ - do you have any such paper work that validates the Robeson Punch being sold to other Cutler companies - I dont think the knives I have see are Robeson made but - Im putting money on it that these knives have the Robeson Patented Punch- Charlie have you ever seen this?

Absolutely GORGEOUS knives guys!!
I "should" be receiving this Imperial Camp Fire Girls utensil kit knife in a few days. It's not super "rare", but it's not as common as the Boy Scout and Girl Scout utensil kit knives. I'll post MY pictures after I receive it. These pictures are the seller's.

Re: The All Scout Knives Thread
I have both a Miller Bros and a Challenge but unfortunately only one of each, else you'd have one Lee. As for the Miller Bros lifter design it is unique. Combination cap lifter/screwdriver/acetylene light wrench. If you think when these were made, the acetylene wrench came in pretty handy. Not sure why the "backside" of the wrench is round though, as most you see have square corners. Makes me think maybe there was yet another function for it as well as acetylene lamps.LongBlade wrote:Nice Ken ... interesting design on caplifter ... funny thing is I have yet to add a scout knife to the pile but if I found a Miller Bros that itch would be sorted ... or a nice Challenge Scout for that matter ...

Interesting and makes sense as you mention given early 1900s... I imagine an acetylene key would be handy as scouts most likely had acetylene lanterns back at that time... unique !!

Re: The All Scout Knives Thread
This Imperial Scout knife "should" arrive next week. It is my first Imperial Scout knife with this style shield. Except for some blade spotting, it appears to be in very good condition. I'll give it the once over when I receive it and post MY pictures in the appropriate location(s). These are the seller's pictures.

Re: The All Scout Knives Thread
My newest (to me) Imperial Scout knife. My second Imperial, but my first with this style shield. It also has a different tang stamp. I gave it a light cleaning to make it a bit more presentable and here it is. The "before" pictures are just above this post. The last picture shows the difference between the two shields.
