Nice Pick, If it is the same one I saw in a group on the Bay, You did a great job cleaning it up.

One thing I particularly like about that Camillus Scout is the lack of a bale. I love scout knives but if I'm going to carry one much it needs to be bale free. I just don't like the way it feels in my pocket with that bale pressing against my leg.

Today I received this Camillus 1047 Scout Knife.I have quite a few 1047's, but this is my first 1047 with the federal style shield (that was made by Camillus). Blades are good, the handles are not so good. This is a filler until I find a nicer one.

Does this Victorinox BSA Alox Pioneer belong? I believe it was an official knife.

I would vote yes, that is a beautiful example and it is listed in 600 Scout Knives by Joseph Kerr

BSA#01067. Includes MB, PU, SO/CL/wire stripper, SD/CO. 3-rivet. 1994.

I obtained this Camillus 1047 Scout Knife this evening. It has the "federal" style shield and it appears that the handles are in much better condition than the last 1047 I bought. I'll clean it when I get it and I'll repost MY pictures in the proper location(s).
The first 3 pictures are the seller's. The last picture is mine and is the previous 1047 with bad handles (bad shrinkage & cracks).

Got this one yesterday. Another Camillus 1047 scout knife with the "federal" style shield.
It's in slightly better condition than the previous 1047 I obtained. These handles love to shrink.

I "should" be receiving this Camillus 1047 Scout knife in a couple or few days. It looks like the third time IS the charm. It appears to have the best handles on a 1047, with this style of shield, that I've bought so far. There doesn't seem to be any shrinkage on either handle. There doesn't appear to be a gap between the handles and bolsters. There doesn't appear to be any cracks in the handles or pieces of the handles missing. The blades look pretty decent also. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I will give it a light cleaning when I receive it and repost MY pictures here. These pictures are the seller's.
