This knife commemorates the 2nd World Rover Scout Moot which took place in Ingaro Sweden 1935. It was made by P. Holmberg of Eskilstuna.

MB I wish I had the sheath, but alas one cannot have everything. I suppose a standard western replacement could be easily had, heck I tink i've even got one laying around minus the BSA logo.

Here is an Ulster Knife Co. Sea Scout pocket knife.

It is 4 1/8" closed, 2-blades, a Marlin Spike and a Sheep Foot blade for cutting rope. The blade measures 3 1/4" long.

It has brown jigged bone handles, nickle silver bolsters, shield, bail and brass liners.

It is Ulster model #1128, produced between 1936-40 as an Official Sea Scout knife.

The blade face is acid etched with the official boy scouts logo and the words "Official Seascout"

The one pictured by Graywolf has a short reshaped master blade.

Here are three girl scout knives and one i just cant make out the makers name on any help appreciated, also is there any safe way to clean up a little of the rust with out hurting the collectability issues, i hate to see runt on a good knife. I have used Simichrome and 0000 steel woool on guns, but how far can you push restoration on a pocket knife?

Back with some more pics. What is the trick to getting real close ups my digitals just dont seem to focus close (hate to have to use my Alpa 10d film camera) First is a Camillus newer model just like the sea scout ttype, but the spike locks open and you have to press the bail to close it, nice safety upgrade, next is a differant view of sea scout marked DWIGHTDEVINE, and with its nick at a differant spot than M.S.'s, may be thats why the blade seems shorter differant maker? Blade is 2 7/8 cutting edge, but it dosent look reground. Last is a knife that i was told was a British scout knife but i have my strong doubts, it marked 1944 on the blade a Sheffield. Short of 0000Steel fur and simichrome how can i do some rust abatement on these guys without messing up the collectability issues?

These two are 5 blade Imperial made but they have differant shields in the wood handles, any idea what years they are,also a one Bridgeport Axe with the BSA on the Blade, Used it last year when we went camping.

On the two five blade Imperials you posted in the first picture, is the top one wood handled or is it actually a synthetic material made to look like wood? If so, my book shows a production date range for it of 1962-1963
The second one, which looks to me to be wood, was produced from 1952-1962. Guess which one is harder to find.

Hi Phil Thanks so much for the query, I went back to it with a jewlers loup and sure enough its plastic, To my old eyes it looked like wood at first. The other is as you suggested, undquestionably wood. Good call

M>B> thanks for the info I came across a few sheath knives, one sheath looks just like the BSA sheath but no bsa on the snap. Could they be related, Also a Craftsman blade, did they ever make BSA and lastly i tried a closeup of the Sea Scout blade . hope its viewable

It was very poorly advertised on ebay. I still had to fight a bit to get it. Blew my mind when I found out it was stainless, because there was no mention of that or the blade etch in the ad. It also had some goo on the main blade in their pictures that made the blade look gapped. LOL. I feel I came out a LOT better off than I hoped for.

I'm not real sure what the bolsters are made of. It's either nickel/german silver or some soft stainless steel. The knife does have brass liners. I'm pretty sure the bail is made from stainless steel so maybe the bolsters are as well.

Now ya' got me wondering. LOL
