A confused "Challenge" knife. I suppose they couldn't decide which stamp to use on this knife. Very readable C.M McClung & Co Knoxville, Tenn. Maybe another stamping on it also but I cant figure it out, Probably Just not struck correctly & they tried a couple times to get it right, lol. At least we know Challenge did make CM McClung knives & If not mistaken so did Miller bros.
Most challenge knives dont have this stamping as you guys know, Looks pretty wild huh!!
Cool knife too me as you guys know I love the ODD ball stuff
Kindest Regards,
Mark

Aw, but it's a duuuuzy.

And instantly one of my favorites. 3 1/2", with half stops, and brass liners. I'm giddy!
Now lets see.........where did I put that stone.............
I have almost exactly that except for the short pull on the blade which is rarer?

Nice "Sunday go to Meeting" knife Joe. I'm guessing that one sat in a drawer 6 days a week. ____Dave

Lovely Whittler Ike ::tu:: ::tu:: ... I have heard that pattern called a balloon whittler and I assume due to the larger balloon-like bolster at the master blade.. very very nice example !!

That is a real beauty and I'm sure it is as sound as any Challenge knife.
Good catch, Ike.
