Nice one JR
Wullie, I am with Tom as usual. I love that hobo. It is my favorite knife ever posted on here at AAPK.

Here is a close to 100 year old Shumate Knife Co. knife. Its probably my favorite knife I own.

Some that I have had; that I like very much. A couple of old whittlers; stag Ralph Brown San Francisco; early 1900s and early pearl Torrey.

Pearl Torrey; with engraved bolsters and a Case Tested 9165; cracked ice flat blade. MM did an excellent job cleaning these two. ::nod::

quite possibly the rarest of all CASE related stampings. ::huff:: I only own one of these, not sure who owns the other two. ::huff:: I have heard of a couple others out there in collector land but never seen them. ::paranoid:: Once saw a well used version. ::nod::

ENJOY ::ds::

Was this the one you are thinking about, T.J.? I have one other one, which is a MOP. I figured I would add it also.

That poor little pearl had seen little use, but was rusted so bad I had to soak it a day before I even tried to open it. I got most of the rust off, but left the pits as they were....

Foster Bros,,Fulton New York Coke Bottle,,havent found any info,,but was told they made knives till 1899.
(Has ties to Hammer brand or New York knife,,due to haveing the Arm & hammer logo on the back of the tang)

Needhan Repeat,,Sheffield. Stag jack (1860-1890)

Platts Bros. N.Y. New York,,Havent found any info,,but I would say from about 1905-1907 just because they moved alot in those two years.

Not really sure how rare or old but this Vulcan is I think both. From what I could find out Vulcan is a trademark used by T Ellin Co. of England. I may have already put up this picture, but cannot remember.

A couple older knives, I hope fits here. Top knife is a Thomaston Knife Co. Conn. 3". I
think it is a Dr. knife. Second knife is Lakeside Cutlery Co. 3 3/4" Montgomery Wards
sleeve board whittler all blades marked with blade etch. I would like to ask your opinion
on the little Thomaston, the bone is very dry would mineral oil be the thing to use?
Also if you have a old Wards catalog would you mind looking for the whittler as to date of
manufacture. Pics are poor I could not get the scans any better???

Thank you

Not sure how rare it is, but I haven't seen any on here yet. And wouldn't have known what is was if it wasn't for this site. I need to take some better pics of it. It's an Arthur Wilzin.

I remember my Grandfather carrying this over 25yr ago and it looked old then (I think it was his Dad's). Paladin told me he hadn't seen
a sodbuster with the Fan Co stamp except this one, so it may be a little bit rare. Needs to be sent for a tune-up.
