That is a real prize. Very rare. I still have about 10 knives with The “punch blade”.

This brand has been renewed. It is the latest relaunch from DFKB, and their 1st knife release will be the Dixie Cock rooster knives.

I found this article in a New York newspaper.
It is from October 16, 1929.

I just got this one recently, pretty unusual. The seller said they got it from a Boston area good-will.

That is a very nice knife pile driver. Doesn't look to have ever been used.

Picked up this Napanoch Scout on the left at a recent knife show. Has the old presto-light wrench on the cap lifter. Near mint.

I'm a new member but a long time collector. I decided to post in this thread first to find out opinions on the legitimacy of this Napanoch stamped Knife. I have received mixed answers from "experts," and I have my own theories. I am only going to share the best pics I have of the tang stamp at first because I am most interested in opinions on the stamp.[*]

A lot of experts out there, are these pictures good enough to tell who made this knife for Jack knife Ben?

Looking at the third photo the stamp to me looks questionable , the letters in the word Napanoch on the bottom look squeezed too close together, on the knives I have they have a more consistent space between the letters. But a tang stamp alone doesn't give a complete picture, I have seen a good number of knives where a tang stamp didn't look quite right but when you look at the knife as a whole , that would confirm to be legitimate.I look forward to seeing the rest of the knife and give a more complete opinion.

Bad stamp on a Cattaraugus leftover blade.Letters in the stamp are rounded on the ends and the spacing is off.The blade has a large choil constant with Cattaraugus blades. ::td::

Thank you for your input. I asked about the stamp in particular first because I have been told the stamp is authentic, and possibly in a different frame. I have gotten several opinions from various sources, some from Facebook experts, others from folks who had held the knife in their hand. I believe the knife is put together with a German made frame and a Parker era Napanoch stamped blade. The stamp does not look "cold stamped" or engraved in any way to me, but I'm no expert. Not sure if spacing is an issue, that could be distorted by the method of photo taking. The dot after Napanoch, which should be more of a comma is what looks most suspicious to me. In any case, I purchased the knife as authentic, but now believe it is a "fake." Pictures of whole knife are attached, as well as examples of the knife I think the frame came from, I tried to purchase both of the examples to compare measurements, etc. but both were too expensive for me.

*Knife with clip blade and red background is my knife with Napanoch stamp.

Thanks for your input. Does the rounded end of letters indicate engraving? It doesn't look "cold stamped" to me. The spacing could be because of the method of photo taking, but you may be 100% correct.

Photos of complete knife added. Thank you for your input. As I stated in second post, I don't believe the knife is authentic, but wanted an opinion on stamp alone first-hand. I truly believe it is a German made frame with a Jim Parker era Napanoch stamped blade.
