Greg congratulations—what an outstanding high grade score ::tu:: ::tu:: Any old stag jack in that condition would be a great find but to then be an Empire red stag jack—WOW it doesn’t get any better than that now does it!!

Thanks Lloyd and Paul. It was really kind of happenstance that I even ran up on it. Someone saw one of my other Empires and just had to have it. He offered that up as a trade. I think we were both pretty tickled with the deal. :D

A couple of new ones for me last week. Not some of my best examples but they are after all Empires. I can't say that I've ever seen two stag examples in such a short time span,

An Empire is an Empire is an Empire.
Fine knives, Greg.
They're kind of nice to have around. ::tu::

Greg - 2 beauties ::tu:: ::tu:: ... Cool etch on senator - not often you see etches on those knives... I can’t make it out but it’s cool 8) ... I have to ask but what’s the closed length of the regular jack?? I’m thinking classic boys knife  :D ..

Thanks Lee! The etch says Hawk Brand. I believe that has been discussed here before but I can't recall it's origin at the moment. I would definitely say a boy's knife at 3 1/4 inch closed.

Greg, do you have a farmers jack in that ever expanding Empire collection? ::tu:: ::tu:: on those recent additions.

Greg, you have been finding so many GREAT knives, both vintage and recently made GEC's. The Red Stag Empire jack and Stag Empire sleeveboard whittler must be rare as hen's teeth in any condition and yet you have mint examples. Amazing finds, once in a lifetime finds except for you it seems to be weekly finds !
I spend a fair amount of time searching on line for knives but i rarely find even one knife that could compare to the dozens you manage to find. I do not expect you to reveal your search secrets so i will just have to be satisfied with seeing the pictures you post. I am rather envious. Well that's an understatement, jealous as all heck is closer.
You are setting a very high standard for the rest of us to aspire to.

Roland it's been very odd how events have seem to come together lately. My Empire collection had lain dormant for many months. Then one event led to another and boom , boom the Empires started rolling in. Strange how that happens. ::shrug:: My Case collection has been in the doldrums for about three months now ,perhaps that little 6207 I found at the Blade show will shake things loose. :D

Greg you give a lot to the rest of us AAPK'ers with informative posts, great pictures of great knives and always a positive attitude. So if luck is involved to some degree with these fine acquisitions, you deserve it.
Actually i have had times of luck too like the early days of GEC & Northwoods before there was any competition.

Here is a nice little Empire I got in recently. 2 5/8".
It fits nicely with the other equal ends from Empire.
A pen and a whittler, both 3 1/16" closed.
