Congrats. on the rare rooster whittler Lyle! ::tu::
A pocket knife is still an intimate personal possession of the individual who carries it and consequently deserves the best of materials, finish and workmanship in its production. (Quoted from Boker's 1928 cutlery catalog).

A catalog cut of Thomas Turners version. I would think there are others. A Clements , which I suspect has DNA from Turners ,whether factory or one of the Mills trained from Turner. The better stag one has two pen blades ,the other two have a budding and pen secondaries. They are also very early stainless.

Thanks Lee and John, I’ve been blessed. The two stag Clements were given me.

John Lloyd gave me the unused one, which is etched stainless throughout. I suppose the other stag was etched at one time, it’s stainless too, and was the first I’d seen. It was given to me by Mike Losicco. Within a few months I had two more, go figure.

I’ll post a picture of the etched blade on the other one when I get back to the computer. You can see it here:

Thanks Charlie, you’ve been a big help. I still haven’t forgotten about that Montgomery Ward FJ.

Here’s the etch on the stag Clements:

That’s a better ground blade (profile) than the etched one I have. I should have bought it, but I have a couple at least.

The more I see it the more I like it.

End of the line after 4 years trying to collect all the covers on the Queen 2009 Farmers jacks, finally landed the MOP and it's a beauty. 100 made in each cover.
