Thanks everybody for the comments. Nice to see you here Duncan.

Treefarmer the etch was for maher & grosh, I assume so they could market the knife under their line. I believe maher & grosh were always contract made knives but I could be wrong. Either way schrade made some knives for them, either etched, stamped or both. I know very little about maher & grosh so that's about all I can tell you, I bought the knife because I like old bone schrades and cattle knives. :D

I am sure anyone would have bought that knife immediately- it’s a hang of a nice one, I think you are correct - M & G had their knives made for them.
I am not home right now but if you wanted to confirm either Goins or Levine 4 will list them as either wholesaler or manufactures.

Here is a real nice Ulster ( Schrade Built ) Cattle Knife, I absolutely fall head over heals for Schrade's Peach-Seed.....

Nice Trio of Rogers "Stag", Imperial - ( these are wonderfully made Knives ) also a very nice Ulster as well......

Thanks folks for the kind comments- Yeah that Rogers Stag Bone is pretty nice alright- and confuding as there are so many variables within the Rogers Stag ::shrug::
I have quite a few Ol' Cattles but for the next few weeks wont be able to load pics I am sorry.

Roger Thats a stunning Cattle Knife Sir- would like to look into that to see who made it! ::undecided::

I have one of those that I like to carry but it has the shrinky dink plastic handles.
