Nice looking Sabre Barlow Ryan, ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::
I have the same Sabre Barlow but yours is in much better condition.
Do you know how to date the Sabre from the tang stamp? Yours is a #3 and mine is a #603.
I know nothing about Sabre tang stamps but would guess yours is older than mine.

Looks like a repair job, and a fine one at that

thouight if i didn't like the contrasting scales i'd dye the bone black but actually i'm warming to it.

Cuts like a champ too

That barlow is in nice shape stanwade. A Sabre was my first knife purchase around 1969 or 1970. I like that IXL Corso that is a good looking knife.

Great looking Barlow John! Beautiful handles! ::tu:: :D I'm not familiar with the term "hidden" backspring. ::shrug::
Could you post a picture of it for me? ::tu:: That would be nice if you would educate me on this subject. ::hmm::
Thanks in advanced! ::handshake::

Thanks everyone. Chris, thanks for posting the picture. Tom, here is the patent for the design. I think mine is an early one as it is stamped Patent Pending and as far as I know bone was only used on early ones before switching to Delrin.
