Deere, are you making a statement with that knife and card or just showing a knife?

A bit of description or disclaimer on your part would be beneficial.

Remington Daddy Barlow.
It had a piece of bone missing at center pin.
Patched it with bone, haven't dyed it yet.

Any of you old Barlow guys recognize this Bolster stamp? I thought it was NYKC at first but its similar but different. I like to take cheap gambles on BIN lots on eBay at times, have this mystery knife on the way.

Looks like a full length drawn swedge on the pile side which ive seen on some old knives like Furness etc.

Mark - that Barlow is a beauty! I really like the pocket polishing on the bone. Even the worn blades wound up with a cool profile!

Hey Guys, This is just a Quick Story & is one of the Reasons Why I LOVE AAPK & have been a long time supporter. Not only can we help our New knife collectors steer clear of fakes on ebay through the "Counterfeit Forum". We can RANT about Ebay & their stupid policies & We can Share knives & Knowledge with those who love them like we do.

I want to give a BIG THANK YOU ::tu:: to Mr. DARRELL MAINES for helping me out this last Xmas. Most of you guys know I am a poor guy & barely make ends meat most years, Some years are better. This last Xmas I was dead broke & sold all my knives & had to reach into my "Sentimental Stuff" for a knife to SELL so I could buy my kids Xmas Gifts. I contacted Darrell & asked him if he would be interested in My Grandpas Russell Barlow that was given to me before his passing 10yrs ago. Darrell said of course & bought a few more old knives that I had put back. The Russell meaning the most too me & the funds received went to a WONDERFUL Christmas for my kids.

I got into better financial shape this year & I called Darrell and asked him if perhaps he still had my grandpa's Russell & He said of course he did as he put it back aside with my name on it. Guy's I told Darrell when I sold it too him that its his knife to do with as he pleases. This is the kind of MEN we have all over aapk & the knife World. I always consider everyone "Family" because that is who I am. A Christian, Proud USA American Father of 2 & a Son of an Honorable USMC Marine 70-76.

I hope you guys will give Mr. Maines a Pat on the back for me. This gesture meant A LOT too ME & was a selfless act on Mr. Maine's part. I feel very Blessed to be able to express my Happiness on aapk & all it has done for me over the years. Thank you Mr. Darrell for ALWAYS being a Stand up guy.

Kindest Regards & Blessings to ALL
Mark
