This afternoon, this pocket knife became my most recent addition to my wire handle/frame, pocket knife collection. It's a GEO. SCHRADE, single blade, wire handle/frame, hawkbill pruner pocket knife. It needed some cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Oldies but goodies.
I’ve never carried or used the fish knife (middle) but the clip and the spear have seen extensive use. I have to check and see what steel was used in these because they get very sharp . And that’s coming from someone whose sharpening skills are so so at best.

Thanks Skip. I have a weakness for the beaters. I don’t know why, but maybe the simple construction matches up with a well ued piece of steel.

I took one of the smoothest working small wire jacks I had and cleaned it up and then put a real good edge on it. I’m going to carry it in the watch pocket of my jeans for a while. I know it won’t replace one of my larger knives, but you never know.

My two favorite wire jack users which you’ve seen before. Cleaned them up with flitz and hot soapy water. Dried them and oiled them. Two beautiful solid knives that I’m proud to own and use. Same age as I am. Guess who’s in better shape.Lol

This morning, this pocket knife arrived and became the latest to join my collection. It's another GEO SCHRADE, single blade with fish scaler, 4 3/4" closed, wire handle pocket knife. It is in pretty good condition. I gave it a minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Very appealing knife Skip. I would think the fish knife a little harder to find. Great example. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu::
