Thanks Skip. I couldn't resist since the pickings have been scarce lately.

I just received these today. A Boy Scout Mess Kit in excellent condition. The case is supple with no names inscribed and the spoon and fork look unused. The knife is still in great shape although it does show signs of use. Couldn’t resist at the price of a couple of Big Mac’s. The small spear point has the double tang stamp so that fills a gap.

Well, that's a different marking. I wonder what the WB (over) W means?

I've been told it is WB Manufacturing, Wisconsin or Wallace Bros.

I got this on ebay for a BIN price. A Girl Scout Wire Jack mess kit. The pouch looks bad but the Knife, Fork & Spoon all appear in good shape, just need a little cleanup. These are the sellers pictures. I couldn't see a makers mark on the spoon, but the Knife is a Geo Schrade with a 9-21-26 tang stamp. The Fork only has Pat. 9-21-26. So adding a date I didn't have with my Wire Jack Sets. I haven't posted this in the "It's In The Mail" thread because I haven't received notification of shipment yet.

Thanks Joe, I did also the first time I saw the listing. Later went back checking for new listings and saw this one again, then noticed the tang stamp.

Thanks Skip.

I've got a good question. I've noticed, most of these kits, The Boy Scout seems to always be the brown leather, and Girl Scouts the Black Pig Skin. Was there ever any of the Girl Scout kits in Leather? Just wondering out of curiosity.

I have no idea Smitty. ::shrug:: Maybe someone in the "The All Scout Knives Thread" could answer that one. ::tu::

Another day another wirejack, hahaha. Super nice condition but the biggest surprise was the double tang stamp which I had missed.
