Nice whittlers guys!
Here are two NYKC whittler pattern folders I have recently acquired. The swell center (tuxedo) Whittler has tortoise shell handles and is most likely pre 1900. The Wharncliffe whittler is most probably post 1900. The Wharncliffe is 3 inches closed and is Hammer Brand marked and the swell center is 2 & 7/8 inches closed and is NON Hammer Brand marked.

Great knives Lloyd!!
Re: Vintage Whittler Knives
Two beauties, Lloyd! Fantastic old pickbone on the Wharncliffe, and lovely tortoise shell on the tuxedo.

Beauty of a knife, nice eye popping pics!
Good ones, Lloyd. I think the tuxedo pattern is greatly under appreciated by many in the knife collecting universe. Nice!Duffer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 12:44 am Nice whittlers guys!

Beautiful old Schrade, Ivoryman. Very nicely photographed!
Two very nice old whittlers, Duffer. Great patina! The jigging on the wharncliffe is kind of unusual.

Thanks Mel! I don’t think my camera focused properly on the Wharncliffe handles as they are kind of distorted or slightly out of focus. It is the usual early NYKC pick bone jigging.

This is kind of a fancy whittler. Three back springs, pinched grooved slanted bolsters, punch blade and etched.
Re: Vintage Whittler Knives
Killer bones and great blade choices. And still some etch. Wow. Fabulous whit. Great to see stuff like that one.Jacknifeben wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 7:13 pm This is kind of a fancy whittler. Three back springs, pinched grooved slanted bolsters, punch blade and etched.

A very recent arrival. This is a CAMILLUS 60, 3 blade, 3 1/8" closed, milled liners, "split spring" whittler pocket knife. It needed very minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is. Click on a picture to ENLARGE.
