 Like John Wayne said in the movies, “Courage is being scared and saddling up anyway.” ::nod::

I’m scared of celluloid and have had a couple go bad on me. And I try to limit myself on what I’ll pay for one. But they’re so beautiful I can’t ignore them. They do get their own special storage treatment - I’m a celluloid segregationist. ::sotb::

Thanks again for the nice comments. I have more, but I’ll stop for now. ::groove::

I Have at least 100 whittlers. Never counted them. Will show a few that I didn`t see posted yet. Peter brothers celebrated cutlery. Made knives only a few years.

Yesterday afternoon, this beauty arrived and became the latest addition to my "general" CAMILLUS pocket knife collection. It's another CAMILLUS 60, 3 blade, 3 1/8" closed, milled liners, tip bolsters, "split spring" whittler pocket knife. I gave the blades a very minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Here is one you don't see all that often, an Electric Cut Co Newark NJ 3 1/2" split spring congress whittler in MOP. Still tight and snappy, been cleaned but at least the edges are not rounded, MOP is not cracked but has yellowed some, not surprising since its around 120 years old. Hard to capture just how nice the pearl is.

Roger, Joe, thank you ::tu:: ::tu::

Picked up another Congress whittler, a tang stamp I have not found before, U. S. Cutlery Co. Nice little 3 1/4" stag split spring whittler. Nothing much on them in the books, 3 or more companies may have used U.S. Cutlery.
