Re: Wharncliffe Knives
Very nice Q! Never heard of them. What kind of price range are they in? Closer to the RR, CASE or the GEC price range?

Re: Wharncliffe Knives
Thanks John, wv trapper & Tom.
Ryan, I think you will be very pleased with your Natural Bone 1508NB...I love mine.
I have to give credit to dlr110 (David Roberts--famous author of "Folding Knives, Starting Your Collection") for turning me (and others) onto the Brother brand. I got mine on Amazon.com for $39-$42...amazing price for the quality...which, if you've been paying attention, you'll already know is very similar to the AG Russell knives that were made in China, i.e., exceptional fit and finish. I am especially impressed with the 1508 Wharncliffe model...but the 1503 Lockback Cowfish is also a well made knife.

I looked on eBay but I haven't found any of em here yet. I'm not much of an Amazon fan but thanks for the Info.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 10:47 pmThanks John, wv trapper & Tom.

Re: Wharncliffe Knives
This is a cheapie, found it at a stock feed store in a country town, no maker or country of origin but was only $15US, so i thought what the heck. I tru-oiled the covers and had to straighten the blade edge on a stone, had a slight curve in it. I am in no way comparing it to some of the fine cutlery being posted, but it is a nice little EDC work knife, and i now have it razor sharp, and it keeps an edge a lot better than some of the lot more expensive knives i have.

Re: Wharncliffe Knives
$15 well spent.
Re: Wharncliffe Knives
This one is a Victorinox; but, more importantly, it's a single blade Wharncliffe, which is my all-time favorite style.
Hard to go wrong at $18.50. The seller had 3 and I was tempted to buy all of them. But, I'm trying to teach The Monkey some restraint and discipline (also there are a few others I'm hoping to get with my ever dwindling funds ).

Re: Wharncliffe Knives
~Q~ You probably already know that's the Gardner pattern. I have black, yellow and red. They're so sharp they'll cut you just looking at them. I also have the Day Packer (shown below). The only difference is the shape of the blade. Love 'em and I would carry one but I'm committed to another knife.
Oops. I messed up. This is the Gardner pattern (shown below in black). I don't know what the one you have is called.
