I don`t know why the master Blade on the Shapleigh Scout/Camp Knife has that cutout. It looks factory, but what purpose was it for? I`m sure someone will know why.

Mailman brought me this Shapleigh Hardware Swell End Barehead Jack today. Both Blades stamped but no pattern number. I think it was made by Schrade Cut Co. based on the jigged bone. What you think? 8)

A schrade cut era shapleigh that is pretty decent other than the main blade being tipped. I wish I could go down to the hardware store today and be able to buy a knife like this.

Nice knife, Desert Golfer. Those little Congress knives with the rat tail bolsters are gems.

Good looking knife and great pictures. ::tu::

What beautiful knives those are.
Two spring pins and two fine little cover pins, apparently having the pivot spring pin hole bored large enough so as not to crack the bone.
There has been plenty of time to crack the bone at the spring pin and the bone has gone undamaged. Lovely!
Thanks for the fine contribution to the thread, John. ::tu::

Mr. Kennedy- Here is my Knife thats the same as yours except that mine is a 2880 Winchester. Both of our knives were contract knives made by Schrade Cut Co. I wonder if Schrade made this model for any other Companies besides Winchester and Shapleigh?
