Some have nail files, with bail, without, advertisement, pyremite, gold, stainless, perl. There doesn't seem to be an end to the different varieties these little guys came in. All these are Remington

Joe I was just going over my credit card bill for the month and I'm pretty sure buying more knives (than I already do) is NOT the solution.

Don't say that, Phil. You just need to properly prioritize your expenses. I mean, are groceries and running water really all that important? ::hmm::

ArgyleCutleryCoInterframePen1.JPG
I have a couple hundred pen knives(mostly pearls)so I will try and post a few that aren't all that common. BTW my definition of a pen knife is one that is at or under 3 inches in length closed. Anything over that I consider a jack. A couple might be just SLIGHTLY over the 3 inch self imposed limit.
#1 Adams & Brother tuxedo.
#2 Argyle Cutlery Co interframe pen with faux tortoise shell inserts.
#3 Asbro Germany. I guess this is a smoker's knife(too small to be a rigging knife). What is unusual is the blades lock by first opening them and then sliding them slightly back into the handle.
#4 Aaron Burkinshaw tuxedo.Sadly the secondary blade is broken;otherwise the knife is near mint.
#5 A 3 line Camillus coffin handle with fancy celluloid handles.
#6 Capital Cutlery Germany with sterling silver covers.
#7 Cattaraugus 20673 with pearl handles.
#8 & 9 Canton Cutlery Co. ad knife(both sides)
#10 A sterling silver fruit knife with blades at opposite ends;an unusual configuration for them.

A few more:
#1 Hudson Cutlery Co Germany with sterling silver covers.
#2 Humason & Beckley with sterling silver covers and original purse.
#3 An unmarked knife with 14k gold covers and original purse.
#4 Clay Cutlery Co Andover NY fob knife with handles of alternating gold & silver fused together.
#5 A Colonial giveaway knife(original purse not shown). This knife was probably a "third"(worse than a second!)and apparently given away as a promotion. No wonder they went out of business!
#6 Duane Cutlery 4 blade with 14k gold covers.
#7 Empire Cutlery 2 blade with beaded sterling silver bolsters and pearl handles.
#8 F.A.Koch 4 blade with fancy pearl handles.
#9Harvey Brothers interframe with ivory inserts.
#10Howes Cutlery 4 blade.

Great topic Lee. I've got just a few and mine are all modern.

Parker National Blade Pen knife. I believe this is from the early 1980's.
IMG_1574.JPG
A.G. Russell Gentleman's Pen knife. Current production. This is a sweet little knife. (click to invert)
IMG_3326.JPG
Buck 705 from 1992.
IMG_1872.JPG
And a Case 6279. I forget the year on this one. Sometime in the 1970's.

So many nice knives posted as this thread rolls on ::tu:: :D ::tu:: ...

I can't even comment on all but thanks for joining the party Ray (K7Knut) and sharing all those pens - quite an awesome variety ::tu:: I knew you would be along soon :)

Nice knives Bruce and Railsplitter - thanks for sharing those classic beauties ::tu::
galvanic1882 wrote:Empire
- Mike - all beautiful knives you posted for sure - but that Empire is an awesome spectacle of a knife ::ds:: ::tu:: - The way the blades are shaped to contour with the swell-center and ballon bolsters is really cool (and the spring must also contour with the frame), and tortoise shell (maybe celluloid but my guess is tortoise - hard to tell without an upclose look sometimes) is way over the top!!! Just plain awesome!! I keep copying back to it to just stare and ::drool:: .. :D BTW - what is the closed length of that knife??

Joe and Dave - Keep on rocking' and sharing so many beauties ::tu::

This thread is just pure "eye candy" and I am enjoying it more than you can imagine ::tu:: ::tu:: Thanks to all for sharing and contributing!!
