Boys Knives Through the Years
Re: Boys Knives Through the Years
Beautiful old Schrades, John, and at the risk of redundancy, great bone!
Corso Italia, that is a wonderful pair of Rodgers, really nice pieces of cutlery history, thanks for the post.

Thank you all for the comments, appreciated.
Lee, thanks, I can't recall seeing another, don't really remember seeing that many plain wood jacks from Winchester at all.
Re: Boys Knives Through the Years
Here's another Boys knife I have never shown - Eagle Knife Co New Haven Conn - Easy Open Boys knife ... This was a kind gift of a friend that was and still is much appreciated despite the knife being in fairly poor condition - spring is shot, blade well sharpened with no snap but will stay closed if I push it down twice - seriously!! However this is my only Eagle Knife Co knife from a company that existed between 1916-1919 before being acquired by Winchester to initiate cutlery production. Eagle was known for high production and affordable knives and I think this knife was a prime example with black compo handles and rather simple less expensive design.. I am not sure if Eagle ever made any high end fancy knives ... I have never seen another Eagle knife .. Interesting that the tang stamp noted patent pending ..

Must be a rare knife John, if Lee hasn’t seen one.
Lee that’s a great knife for you, I have a few farmers jacks like that.

Re: Boys Knives Through the Years
Threw these up elsewhere but there are boys in the pic
Re: Boys Knives Through the Years
Picked up this nice metal IKCO Imperial, first boys knife I have been able to find that still had its chain, almost full blade with original finish.
Re: Boys Knives Through the Years
I think the chains are super cool. Great catch John
Re: Boys Knives Through the Years
Sweet John ... from somebody who has an affinity for boys knives ... and quite frankly the chains in good condition are harder to find than the boys knife itself ...
