Mike, a couple of questions about the Walden knife. What does the tang stamp read? I can't make it out. Also, were Barney and Berry a hardware company who was reselling Walden knives?

Dan it’s marked Walden Knife Co, I think Barney & Berry sold Walden knives. They had ties to Winchester too!

Thanks Mike. It just appeared to me that there were three fairly full lines in the tang stamp.

Here's a couple more. This is the earliest Cattaraugus box that I have seen. Very similar to my JBF Champlin box. The carved pearl knife does not have Little Valley NY marked on it. One of the older ones. I think it is a older knife pouch also, the knife came in the pouch.

The pearl Electric is marked on both sides of all 4 blades, box is another one I found.

Finally got some energy so took some photos of this H&B knives and box combo. I included a few of my different H&B pens as the box seemed to be about that size when placing in the knives based on their length and width (seemed small for my H&B Jacks).. I have other H&B knives but couldn't include them all :) ... Note the box is considered a button display box - the lid would reverse itself and knives were displayed for sale. I get a kick out of the H&B on button. I also found the label interesting (though not illustrative like others) but check out the warranty for any defective knives to be replaced/repaired but the warranty implicitly stated it would not include those knives worn out or damaged by hard use :D ... Guess even prior to 1912 (the year H&B became part of LF&C) folks were trying to pull fast ones to replace their knives  ....

Here are 2 more, the Utica is 3" closed and a beefy little guy. The Electric Gunstock I bought on ebay when it first started picked up the box years later.

Very nice,all.

Speaking of knife boxes, has anyone here ever seen a Terrier Cutlery Co box?

I’d be willing to pay up for such.

Charlie, I have a friend that has been trying to buy a collection with one in it for years but the guy won’t sell any of the boxes. All I know is that my friend said he lives in Virginia ::facepalm:: !

Couple more, Phoenix Knife Co and a Cattaragus marked Flylock, the tang stamp on the knife is missing the first letter "U" in the stamping. I have a larger Flylock marked the same way.

Super nice Mike ::tu:: ::tu:: ...

So I’m curious but I have a Flylock Bridgeport switch (actually looks to have the same handles).. I know Schrade was involved in Bridgeport but what was the connection of Flylock to Cattaraugus?? Contract work?

Here's a few Keen Kutter display boxes that I have. The tops flip up to store the knives for sale that are being displayed, there's penciled in sales notes added for the salesman. There's also a Keen Kutter button on the black display box that I found along the way.
