VERY nice Jason! ::tu:: Question, did you go after this Schrade 88LH 1875-1975 Longhorn Premium Stockman?
It went for $27.10 last night. I missed it completely. ::dang::

I didn't know about the auction but I do have that same knife. Schrade made two version of the Texas Longhorn - the other one is a scrim that says 'TEXAS LONGHORN' next to a steer.

Here's the second knife in a pic I just lifted from ebay.

My most recent acquisition and soon to be joining the zoo, is this Imperial, "Longhorn Steer" pocket knife. It is my first "Longhorn Steer" in this particular pattern. When I receive it, I'll check it out, take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Thanks! Here's one more recent acquisition I hadn't scanned yet. I like those Longhorns. Make me think of Texas.

Schrade LB7 with (real) scrimshaw of a Bighorn Sheep on ivory micarta. This is just as I received it. Likely tomorrow, I will be polishing off the marks on the bolsters etc.

You keep rolling them up Skip - nice collection of Steer-heads! Blade Collector sure has a nice collection of Scrimshaws. I've only got one of those, a Schrade Barlow with some Racoons on it. OH

Today, this Imperial "Longhorn Steer" pocket knife joins the zoo. It is the first "Longhorn Steer" pocket knife, that I've acquired, with this handle design/style. The blades needed tending to, they received a cleaning. I took some pictures and here they are.

Today I obtained this pocket knife. Another Imperial "Longhorn Steer." A soon to be, much welcomed, new addition to my zoo. It appears to be in decent condition. The main blade has a wonda edge and will fit in nicely with my other "wonda edges." (The Last Picture) When I receive it, I will give it the once over. I will take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s). Click on the last picture to ENLARGE.

These are the sellers pictures. I'll post some more when I get it. ::tu::
