Thanks for the replies.

Mallard on some mammoth, by Spouting Whale.

Bill Feeney "duck in a marsh" scrimshaw on a 1980s Parker knife. Mirror-polished blades have half-stops. Pile side is white bone (not mammoth). The 25,000 year old carbon-dating of the mammoth ivory is a great accompaniment. Foam in wall display needs replacement.

Today this pocket knife becomes the latest resident of the zoo. It's a PASTOR ALEMAN (German Shepherd), single blade, 4 tool, scouting/camping style pocket knife. It does have the dog head profile on the tang stamp, so it qualifies for zoo residency. This knife "brand" is part of the Imperial and Colonial, Mexico story/connection. It did not need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

And.....another Deer is free to roam in the New Windsor Zoo. You are going to have to start giving guided tours soon. All joking aside, a very nice addition indeed. ::tu::

Today the zoo welcomes it's most recent resident. It is an Imperial, 2 blade, "Longhorn Steer" handle pocket knife. I gave it a minor cleaning, took a few pictures and here it is.

Today I welcome this pocket knife as the latest zoo resident. It is another ULSTER 50D, 2 blade, "Deer Head" pocket knife. It is not stamped or marked 50D, but it is that particular pattern. It needed some minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Today this pocket knife joins the zoo. It's another PASTOR ALEMAN (German Shepherd), single blade pocket knife. It is a "BARLOW" pattern pocket knife. This is my first PASTOR ALEMAN pocket knife of this particular pattern. It does have the dog head profile on the tang stamp, so it qualifies for zoo residency. It measures 5" closed, not including the bail and 9" open, not including the bail. This knife "brand" is part of the Imperial and Colonial, Mexico story/connection. It didn't need any cleaning. I took a few pictures and here it is.

Deer, bear, wolf and eagle scrims by Bill Feeney on 4-knife Parker lockbacks set.

I just landed this set today and won't get it for a little over a month. I'm thinking they are ivory but they may turn out to be bone. I only paid the bone price so they will fall firmly into the "deal" category if they are indeed ivory. Seller didn't know much about them and never took them out of the case. I love these-type scenarios. Knife collecting is fun!
