I hope you don't mind if I copied this article Skip. But this is a very informative article and historical piece of information concerning Walden, Winchester and Simmons. If I read it correctly, at this time in history Winchester-Simmons Co. owned 70% interest in Walden Knife Company. That's an eye opener. So basically any materials or designs could be used from Walden.

Maybe you remember this from back on page 24. I finished posting the newspaper articles and ads for 1939. The last posting of the 1939 articles and ads was on Sunday, November 29, 2020.

"I've decided to turn back the clock just a bit further to 1926. There are also some 1925 issues of this particular newspaper. I will post articles and ads from the 1925 issues at a later date. I will also be posting articles and ads from the 1927, 1928 & 1929 issues of this particular newspaper. Soon after that, I WILL RESUME posting articles and ads beginning in May of 1940."

***** There were no issues of this particular newspaper to browse through from January 1, 1940 to May 21, 1940. *****
I was wrong. There are no issues of this particular newspaper to browse through from January 1, 1940 to September 9, 1940.

Well, 1929 has ended and it's time to forward the calendar to September 1940. So tomorrow morning, the "Knives in the news" articles and ads will start with September 10, 1940. I know this is confusing and I will, at some point, add an index with links, for the years and the pages they can be found on.
