This pocket knife arrived recently in a group of pocket knives that I bought. This particular pocket knife was NOT the target of my purchase. It is an Imperial, two blades, 2 3/4" closed, one tang stamp, crown shield, pocket knife. If it ever had the patent numbers tang stamp on the secondary blade, it doesn't now. It is in good condition. It needed a little cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

This fob/key ring style pocket knife arrived recently in a group of pocket knives that I bought. This particular pocket knife was NOT the subject of my purchase. It is an Imperial, one blade, 2" closed (not including the bail), one tang stamp, fob/key ring style pocket knife. Per the tang stamp chart, this dates 1956-1988. It is in very good condition. It needed minimal cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

I really love the older, well built, IMPERIAL knives, especially with the seemingly shrink resistant, marbled celluloid. Picked this one up today in Accomack, Virginia. 1930-1936 tang stamp (straight line, block IMPERIAL over PROVIDENCE, R.I.). Pretty good shape for it's age. 20% discount too! :D Happy day! J.O'.

This pocket knife arrived recently in a large group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. I did NOT buy the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, it definitely turned out to be a keeper. It is an IMPERIAL FRONTIER, pattern 4135, three blades, two springs, two tang stamps, a blade etch, 3 1/4" closed, "STOCKMAN" pattern or style, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp reads "FRONTIER" (curved) with powder horn stamped symbol. The main blade back tang stamp reads "4135 - IMPERIAL - STAINLESS - USA" The main blade etch reads "FRONTIER Double - Eagle" with logo. It is in EXCELLENT condition. It needed no cleaning, I just wiped it off, took some pictures and here it is.

The following six Imperial pocket knives all arrived very recently. They have NOT been posted under this particular topic or thread before now. They all have two blades. They range in size from 2 3/4" closed, to 3 5/16" closed. They are all in VERY GOOD condition. A couple needed minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here they are.

That two-tone Red and Green Imperial is really sweet!
For some reason I think those look the classiest of any Imperial knives that I have seem.

Good looking group of Imperials. The Red and Gray two tone you have is harder to find in good shape. Usually the handle cover is missing one of the colors, or ripped. Good find.

And here I had been thinking that I was the only one who gave the old Imperial knives any respect. I am a big fan of the Kamp King and my policy is that I will buy any halfway decent one that I come by if I can get it for under ten dollars. I do have a few of them.

While on the Imperial subject, I am trying to find out the Imperial designation for their brand of the Schrade Walden knife known as the "Utility Hunter." It is a commercial version of the H-15 style knife with smooth leather handles and a half guard. Imperial name or number?

I have searched the world over and thought I found true live, but...

That is a good looking Imperial you have there Skip, as are the others you have posted. You must have quite the accumulation. That large Frontier stockman is a solid looking knife as well, I always thought of that model as Imperials answer to the Old Timer 8OT.

That is a gorgeous Imperial, Skip. There is no modern handle material that has the depth of beauty like that old celluloid. I have a couple of them from that era, but not in that pattern. Nor, I might add, are mine in as good a condition as yours.
Congratulations on a great find!
