Re: Royal Brand Knives
I found the following information in the below, pictured book.
"(75 S)" I don't know what the "75" means. But, if I read it correctly,
the "S" means that the author saw an actual example of the knife.
"MB(M)" means mark (shield) side of master blade.

You're welcome Dimitri.
It doesn't seem to be a very common piece of cutlery.

Re: Royal Brand Knives
I have these 2 Royal Brand USA pens, 3 1/4" and 3 3/8". The smaller Stainless one with the flea bite has half-stops and "S"s on the pile side of the blades.
I figured these were made by Utica Cutlery Co?

Re: Royal Brand Knives
Here is an old thread. I do believe that the trademark was used by Woolworth stores. And they, like other dealers, had knives made from multiple sources. This included (obviously) Utica, but also imports.

I also put in a request for information on BladeForums so maybe something will come up there, as well.

Looks like they had at least 2 levels of quality, with different stamps.

Re: Royal Brand Knives
I bought this pocket knife back in January 2021. Before Dimitri started this topic. For some unknown reason, I forgot to post it here. So, I am posting it now. It is a ROYAL BRAND, three blades, one tang stamp, 3 5/8" closed, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "ROYAL BRAND (over) USA"

Re: Royal Brand Knives
I like it! Looks suspiciously like a #72 clone ... I like to have a #72 (or #72 clone) on my EDC shelf for EDC because it is such a useful knife for small jobs. What year would you say it was made (more or less)? ... Also, great photos Skip ...(or possibly Ken98k ) ...New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 5:30 pm I bought this pocket knife back in January 2021. Before Dimitri started this topic. Re: Royal Brand Knives
Thank you, GSPTOPDOG.
I did post it under the "Camillus 72 Clones" topic, way back on Friday, January 1, 2021.
I have no idea what year it was manufactured. I would not even attempt a guess.
