Thank you, Tom.🍻
Skip your different collection themes & topics such as this one & the "Zoo" have inspired me to find my own "theme" for collecting. I have contemplated what "theme" or "topic" I should go with for months now but couldn't find any. For one, it's a question of availability. Two, it's a question of price. Three it's a question of interest.

The other day it finally came to me when I bought a Colonial advertising knife. (It's in the mail.) My collection theme (with a very wide & general focus) will be advertising knives that have to do with "Transportation". Garages, Car Parts, Gasoline, Shell, BP, Car brands, Car dealers, ect. ect. but also not to exclude other forms of Transportation such as Planes, Trains, Boats ect.

There seem to be enough knives over here within this "theme" to keep me happy without killing me financially. Now I just need a place to post them in the future to keep them all together in one place. ::tu::

Edit: ::hmm:: Maybe I'll drop the "theme" and just collect advertising knives in general. ::hmm:: I'm not sure yet. ::hmm::

Yesterday, I added this pocket knife to this topic or thread and to my collection. It is from the EAGLE KNIFE COMPANY (1916-1919), it has two blades, it has one tang stamp, it measures 3 3/8" closed and it is an all metal pocket knife. The tang stamp says "EAGLE KNIFE CO. - PAT. ALL'D. - MADE IN USA." I thought that I had all of the variations of the EAGLE KNIFE COMPANY tang stamps. I do NOT have all of the variations of the EAGLE KNIFE COMPANY tang stamps (maybe now I do). It is a "cousin" of the ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY, NEWBURGH, N.Y., the GEO. SCHRADE KNIFE CO., INC. and other cutlery companies that manufactured pocket knives of a similar, simple construction. This is my ninth pocket knife manufactured by the EAGLE KNIFE COMPANY. However, this is my first pocket knife from the EAGLE KNIFE CO. that has two blades. The other eight have all been previously posted under this topic or thread and elsewhere. I gave it a minor cleaning, took some pictures and here it is.

I have one Allen Cutlery knife. Probably the tightest and snappiest knife in my collection. Mine does not have a tang stamp. It does have a hole through the bottom of the handle, presumably for a lanyard? Would that be a modification or was it mad with the hole? I know these knives were made by Allen for a short period, but is there any way to determine the age within that period?

The hole IS factory "installed." As described by "ALLEN", the hole is for the "chain and shackle."
As far as the year of manufacture is concerned, 1917 to 1925 is about as good as it gets.
Pictured below is an ad for the different "ALLEN" handle patterns and blade types.
If you ever want to part with your "ALLEN", PM me. I am NOT a cheapskate.

Yesterday afternoon, this became the latest pocket knife to join my collection. It is a G. SCHRADE, single blade, cap lifter/bottle opener handle, single tang stamp, 3" closed, all metal, "figural" pocket knife. The tang stamp is the arched or curved style. The tang stamp says "G. SCHRADE - B' PORT, CT." This is my twelfth pocket knife in this pattern or style. This is my second pocket knife, in this pattern or style, that has these particular handles. The scene(s) depicted appear to be of a meeting, set in the Colonial era. I bought this pattern or style of pocket knife because it is a "cousin" of the Allen Cutlery Company, the Eagle Knife Company and the other cutlery companies that manufactured pocket knives of a similar pattern or style. They're all posted throughout this topic/thread. It needed a cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

A good looking G. schrade caplifter frame knife. Could the scene on the handle possibly have something to do with the Continental Congress Meeting and the Lee Resolution.Or possibly the framing of The Constitution. Regardless, a good looking knife.

"Someone posted this in a knife group of Facebook. Not for sale, just thought you'd get a kick out of it. I haven't seen that design before."

This is NOT my knife. These are NOT my pictures. The pictures have NOT been edited, altered, enhanced, etc., by me, EXCEPT for size. I am posting these pictures for posterity and for future reference. The last picture is of my two ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knives that have similar handles.

I just purchased a group or lot of pocket knives just to obtain one particular pocket knife. The first picture below shows the group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. The second picture below shows the one particular pocket knife that I bought the group or lot of pocket knives for. The third picture is of a screen capture that I did of the eBay message that I sent the seller, BEFORE I bought the group or lot AND his response to my question (March 21st). I also sent him the same picture as picture #2 below, so he would know which pocket knife I was referring to. Regarding his reply, I don't think he was describing the correct pocket knife. There were NO other different views of this particular pocket knife. I can't wait to get this one. Hopefully it is a legitimate, "ALLEN CUTLERY CO" pocket knife. Of course, when I receive it, I will post it. The last picture shows MY two "ALLEN" pocket knives with similar handle patterns.
We will see.....

Well, the group or lot of pocket knives that were the subject of my post on March 27th, arrived today. The particular pocket knife that I bought the group or lot for, turned out to be one of those National Socialist (Nazi), Third Reich, FANTASY, I REPEAT AND EMPHASIZE FANTASY, pocket knives. I really thought I was getting an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knife. It turns out that the seller DID answer my question correctly, but vaguely. Anyway, it is all metal, has a single blade, a blade tang stamp (swastika), a blade tang etch (MI094 - CHINA) and a blade etch (a swastika and "DRITTES - REICH"). The handle has a swastika stamp and it also has the SS lightning bolts stamp. It measures 3 5/8" closed. It is VERY sharp, it has a GREAT half stop and a WICKED snap. I never thought I would see an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pattern or style pocket knife that was NOT an actual ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knife. If this pocket knife did NOT have ANY markings on it at all, I would swear that this was an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knife. WHY WOULD THE CHINESE COPY THIS PARTICULAR PATTERN OR STYLE OF POCKET KNIFE? It did NOT need cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

This morning I retrieved this pocket knife from the post office and it became the latest example to be added to this topic or thread and to my collection. It is another ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY, NEWBURGH, N.Y. (1917-1925), single blade, 4 7/8" closed, 8 5/8" open, all metal, pocket knife. This is my fifth pocket knife in this particular pattern or style. It is the pattern or style No. 20, the "Ni**er Chaser." That is NOT my term, see the pattern ad which is the last picture in this post. This pocket knife has two stamps, the maker stamp and the patent date stamp. Both stamps are on the handle. There aren't any tang stamps. The "blotches" on the handle are the remains of the factory applied coating. It has a GREAT half stop and it has a NASTY opening and closing snap. Overall, it is in VERY GOOD condition. It did need a little bit of cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

This pocket knife arrived recently and it became the latest example to be added to this topic or thread and to my collection. It is an EAGLE KNIFE COMPANY (1916-1919), one blade, one tang stamp, 3 3/8" closed, all metal, pocket knife. The tang stamp says "EAGLE KNIFE CO. - PAT. ALL'D. - MADE IN USA." This is my first pocket knife from the EAGLE KNIFE CO. that has one blade AND this particular tang stamp. This morning, this became the latest pocket knife to join this topic or thread and my collection. It is a single blade, cap lifter or bottle opener handle, 3" closed, one tang stamp, all metal, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "ETCHED P. CO. (over) L.I.C.N.Y." All three GOINS books that I checked said the same thing, "Etched in L.I.C.N.Y. c 1933." Overall, this is my thirteenth pocket knife in this pattern or style. My fifth pocket knife, in this pattern or style, that has this tang stamp and my fourth pocket knife, in this pattern or style, that advertises this event. The main side says nothing, but it has a few graphics depicting a few Chicago World's Fair buildings or exhibits. The other side says "1934 - CHICAGO" and also has some graphics. I bought this pattern or style of pocket knife because it is a "cousin" of the Allen Cutlery Company, the Eagle Knife Company and some other cutlery companies that manufactured pocket knives of a similar pattern or style. ALL of them are posted throughout this topic or thread. I cleaned it, took some pictures and here it is. The last five pictures are a single view and a four part panoramic view of the 1933-1934, Chicago World's Fair buildings and exhibits.

This pocket knife arrived yesterday afternoon and became the latest example to be added to this topic or thread and to my collection. It is an ALLEN CUTLERY CO., NEWBURGH N.Y. (1917-1925), one blade, two stamps, 3 1/2" closed, all metal, pocket knife. One stamp, the patent stamp, is on the handle. The second stamp, the maker stamp, is on the blade tang. The handle patent stamp says, "PAT. (over) JAN-23-17 (over) U.S.A." The blade tang stamp says "ALLEN (over) CUTLERY CO. (over) NEWBURGH N.Y." This one has most definitely seen some use. It needed to be cleaned. I cleaned what I could clean, I took some pictures and here it is. The last picture is of a part of an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY ad which describes the handle pattern and the four different blade styles that were available for the pocket knife.
Caption(s), if any, are on the BOTTOM of the corresponding picture(s).
