Mike, how old is this one ? 1950's ? Were there other animals on the handles of this pattern ? Wonder if these were sold in gift shop of a Florida golf course ? I like pen knives of any pattern but most get little collector interest. kj
Not all UK&R knives were made in Europe. If it is not marked with a European country of origin it is American made. UK&R contracted with Union Cut Co for hunting knives, I don't know who made American pocket knives for them. Most UK&R fixed blades I have or have seen were made in either Germany or Czechoslovakia other than the ones made by Union Cut Co.
Nice one Joe, I have that one too, and several others. Here is one made by Union Cut/KA-BAR that is etched with the UK&R "Hunter's Pal" and matching Hunter's Pal sheath. A lot of the foreign made hunting knives also had the Hunter's Pal sheaths and some had the blade etch. Sure is hard to beat that Union Cut/KA-BAR stag!!
